The Lawyer's code: a tool for promoting continental law

The Conseil national des barreaux and Dalloz publishers have brought out the first edition of the Lawyer's code. The result of work by the Lawyers centre for research and study (CREA), the Lawyer's Code allows lawyers or law students to benefit from a comprehensive body of work relating to the exercise of their profession, from all angles - legal, ethical, social and fiscal.

The Lawyer's code: a tool for promoting continental law
All this is backed up by case law and opinions issued by the Conseil national des barreaux. Finally, there are plenty of annotations which give useful explanations on the laws applying to the legal profession.

This code is a wonderful tribute to the legal profession in France. It is an excellent tool for promoting the advantages of continental law, and of the organizational model of the French legal profession. Thanks to this codification, foreign bars and lawyers can easily find out about our rules of law and the scope of their application.

For this reason, a translation of this Code into English and Arabic is being planned.
