Help available on the website
This site offers numerous features to help all users navigate easily.

On all pages, the "Conseil national des barreaux" logo displayed in the banner allows you to return to the Website’s home page with a single click.

Features offered by your browser
In addition to the help available directly on the site, it has been designed to allow your browser to take full advantage of its own features.
Enlarging the font size
You can enlarge the font size on all pages of the website.
If you are using a PC, use the Ctrl + + key combination to increase the font size. The Ctrl + - key combination reduces the font size.
Pressing these keys repeatedly will increase or decrease the font size in increments.
Please note that pressing Ctrl + 0 (the number "zero") will return the text to its default size.
Mac users, simply replace the Ctrl key in the above combinations with the Cmd key to perform the same actions.
Keyboard navigation
This site has been designed to allow keyboard navigation on all pages.
In most cases, you can simply press the Tab key on your keyboard to navigate from one clickable element to another on the page.
Conversely, if you wish to move backwards in the reading direction, use the Shift + Tab key combination.
Print
Keyboard users can print any page on the site by going to the desired page and pressing Ctrl + P on your keyboard if you are using a PC, or Cmd + P if you are using a Mac.
Bookmarking
Keyboard users can bookmark any page.
To do this, go to the desired page, then press Ctrl + D on your keyboard if you are on a PC, or Cmd + D if you are on a Mac.
PDF documents
This site offers PDF documents for download.
To view these documents, you will need Adobe Reader, which can be downloaded free of charge from:http://get.adobe.com/fr/reader/
Accessibility
What is digital accessibility?
An accessible website is one that allows people with disabilities to access its content and features without difficulty.
An accessible site allows, for example:
- Navigate using voice synthesis and/or Braille displays (particularly useful for blind or visually impaired users).
- Customise the website display according to your needs (enlarge font size, change colours, etc.).
- Navigate without using a mouse, using only the keyboard or a touch screen.
To achieve this, the website must comply with strict standards during its creation and updates.
RGAA compliance statement
The declaration of compliance for the website "cnb.avocat.fr" was issued on 5 September 2017.
The version used to perform the tests is version 3 2016 of the RGAA (Référentiel Général d'Accessibilité pour les Administrations - General Accessibility Framework for Administrations).

Test results
An audit of the website, carried out by Atalan in July 2017, revealed overall compliance with the RGAA (level AA) of 89%.
- 49 criteria compliant
- 6 non-compliant criteria
Details of non-compliance
Criterion 4.1
Criterion 4.1 "Does each pre-recorded time-based media have, where necessary, a text transcript or audio description?" is not compliant.
Criterion 4.4
Criterion 4.4, "For each pre-recorded synchronised time-based media with synchronised subtitles, are these subtitles relevant?", is non-compliant.
Criterion 7.1
Criterion 7.1 "Is each script, where necessary, compatible with assistive technologies?" is not compliant.
In general, the scripts used on the site are accessible with assistive technologies (such as screen readers, for example).
However, the main drop-down navigation menu has an accessibility issue: the aria-expanded attribute of the <button>tags in the submenus does not update correctly. In addition, the news carousel on the home page does not fully comply with the corresponding ARIA design pattern. Finally, some buttons do not work with the "Space" key on the keyboard. However, this is not a blocking issue as they can be activated using the Enter key.
Criterion 8.2
Criterion 8.2 "For each web page, is the source code valid according to the specified document type?" is not compliant.
Some pages on the site contain HTML validation errors according to the W3C standard.
However, to our knowledge, these few errors do not cause any real accessibility problems (no impact on technical aids, in particular).
Criterion 10.4
Criterion 10.4 "On each web page, does the text remain readable when the font size is increased to at least 200%?" is not compliant.
Criterion 10.7
Criterion 10.7 "On each web page, for each element that receives focus, is the focus visible?" is not compliant.
Keyboard focus on interactive elements (links, buttons, and form elements) is visible.
However, the presence of "outline: 0;" declarations in the CSS invalidates this criterion.
Exemptions
Right to compensation
It is important to remember that, under Article 11 of the Law of February 2005, persons with disabilities are entitled to compensation for the consequences of their disability, regardless of the origin and nature of their impairment, their age or their lifestyle.
As a result, every organisation has an obligation to take the necessary measures to provide access, within a reasonable time frame, to the information and functionality sought by persons with disabilities, whether or not the content is subject to an exemption.
You can therefore obtain an accessible version of the documents or the information they contain by sending an email toweb@cnb.avocat.fr , indicating the name of the document concerned and/or the information you would like to obtain.
The requested information will be sent to you as soon as possible.
Pages with one or more exemptions
Interactive map
The interactive Google Maps map on the contact page is not fully accessible with a screen reader and keyboard.
"Select a region" feature
The "Select a region" anchor system on the "Directory of French Bar Associations " page is not accessible with a screen reader.
However, it should be noted that this is not a blocking issue as it does not prevent users from viewing all of the page's content.
"Members" carousel
The "Members" carousel on the "Commission for the Practice of Law " page is not fully accessible with a screen reader.
Please note that this problem stems from "Slick Slider" and, in principle, should be corrected in a future update of the script.
Downloadable PDF documents
At the time of this audit, the PDF documents available for download are not fully accessible.
Making all of these documents accessible would require a significant amount of work.
Consequently, the National Bar Council will provide an accessible version of these documents on request.
To obtain an accessible version of a document, please contact us using one of the methods listed in the "Improvements and contact" section below, indicating the name of the document concerned.
VIDEO PLAYER
The YouTube video player on certain pages of the website is not fully accessible with a screen reader. It also does not allow audio description of videos when required.
TWITTER WALL
The "CNB on social media" box on the home page, which automatically displays tweets from the "CNB" Twitter account, has several accessibility issues.
