UIA Webinar - The Future of Humanity: Genetic Engineering, CRISPR, and Beyond
Webinar presented by the UIA UIA Biotechnology Law commission  and the UIA Health Law commission
No technology portends to have a greater impact on the future of humanity than does genetic engineering — that is, the ability to modify the genome and thus the forms and functions of all living organisms, including man.
This programme will examine the state of genetic engineering today and where the science is heading. Particular focus will be on laws and regulations, including those governing medical care, experimentation, intellectual property rights, and the commercialization of the technology.
Three panels will be presented.• The first will explain the science, including where we are, from where we came, and to where we are going.• The second will focus directly on the interests of practitioners, in the commercial and industrial sectors.• The third will examine the most significant challenges that this technology presents for society: ethics and the law.
Registration fees:
  • UIA MEMBER  – Including the 3 sessions € 80*
  • NON-MEMBER  – Including the 3 sessions € 120*
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email explaining how to join the webinar
